Impact After having 721 yards and seven touchdowns for Austin Peay last season, Goodman had 469 yards and zero touchdowns for UTEP. His numbers are even skewed by 12 catches for 150 yards against Kennesaw State. It's not a coincidence the Owls also were making the leap fro FCS ball in 2024.

Impact Thomas had missed the prior three games with an injury, but he looked no worse for the wear here. In addition to a 69-yard reception, Thomas returned a punt 93 yards for a score.

Impact Kam Thomas returned to action, dropping Odom's targets a decent amount, but he still found the end zone. After making the move from FCS ball, Odom had 47 catches for 761 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, which is encouraging going forward.

Impact Unexpectedly head coach Scotty Walden seemed hesitant to simply trust his guys that came with him from Austin Peay, but down the stretch Jackson became his number-one back like he was in 2023. Over the final half of the season, Jackson ran the ball 126 times for 515 yards and four touchdowns.
