Says elbow is fully healed Glasnow said in an interview on Foul Territory TV in late October that he had imaging on his right elbow recently and "it looks like it's fully healed."
Impact Glasnow also mentioned that he planned to throw twice per week throughout the offseason rather than taking an extended break as he has done in the past, with the goal being to "try to get my tissue used to that workload." The righty's final appearance for the Dodgers this season came on Aug. 11 and imaging after a setback in September showed a sprain. While the early offseason prognosis appears positive, Glasnow still has a long ways to go before he's out of the woods.

Still not throwing Glasnow said Friday that the inflammation has gone down in his right elbow but has yet to resume throwing, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Glasnow was shut down for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a right elbow sprain Sept. 14. While he isn't expected to undergo surgery, Glasnow has been restricted to rehab on his elbow, and he noted Friday that a more definitive recovery plan will be put in place once he undergoes more scans during the offseason, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Glasgow went 9-6 during the regular season with a 3.49 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 168:35 K:BB across 134 innings.

Expects to avoid surgery Glasnow doesn't expect to need surgery on his sprained right elbow, but he's been shut down from throwing for the foreseeable future, per MLB.com.
Impact Glasnow was diagnosed with a right elbow sprain Sept. 14 and was subsequently moved to the 60-day IL. Though the right-hander doesn't think he'll need surgery, his injured elbow will be subject to monitoring and imaging as he looks ahead to clearance to resume throwing. Glasnow's injury isn't expected to carry over into next season, but it's highly unlikely he'll pitch again in 2024 even if the Dodgers make a deep run into the postseason.

Moves to 60-day IL The Dodgers transferred Glasnow (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Impact Glasnow was diagnosed with a sprained elbow Saturday, and his move to the 60-day IL will officially rule him out for the remainder of the regular season. Zach Logue was selected from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move to fill the open 40-man roster spot.

Likely out for season Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Glasnow has a sprained right elbow, and it's unlikely he returns this season, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Impact The news of Glasnow's sprain comes as somewhat of a surprise, considering Roberts previously said that initial scans on the right-hander's elbow were "promising." He'll be shut down from throwing for the time being, and although he hasn't officially been ruled out for the season yet, it's likely the only way he pitches in 2024 again is if the Dodgers make a deep postseason run.

Impact Glasnow reported discomfort in his elbow while warming up for a sim game Friday. While the Dodgers skipper didn't get into specific details regarding the right-hander's status, it seems there may still be a chance he returns in time to make another start before the end of the regular season.

Dodgers manager raises possibility of Shohei Ohtani pitching in playoffs
Suffers setback Friday Manager Dave Roberts said Glasnow felt discomfort in his right elbow while warming up for his simulated game Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact Glasnow was slated to face live hitters in a 2-to-3 inning simulated game Friday, but he returned to the clubhouse after being checked on by trainers. The 31-year-old right-hander will get additional testing on his elbow to provide some clarity on his chance of returning before the end of the regular season, per Juan Toribio of MLB.com. Glasnow has been on the 15-day injured list since Aug. 16 due to tendinitis in his right elbow.
SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Doesn't face hitters Glasnow didn't complete his scheduled simulated game Friday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Impact Glasnow went straight to the clubhouse after warming up in the bullpen instead of facing hitters in a 2-to-3-inning simulated game. It's unclear why he couldn't complete the session, but it's a situation worth monitoring in the coming days. Glasnow hasn't thrown for the Dodgers since Aug. 11 due to elbow tendinitis. Barring a setback, he's expected to rejoin the rotation in a week or so.
SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Sim game on tap Glasnow (elbow) will face hitters in a simulated game over the weekend, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Impact Glasnow reportedly felt good coming out of his bullpen session Tuesday, and he's now been given the green light to throw 2-to-3 simulated innings against live hitters. Assuming everything goes smoothly this weekend, the 31-year-old righty will likely rejoin Los Angeles' rotation sometime next week and build up his workload while pitching in big-league games.
