Impact Becht notched his fifth rushing score of the season as Iowa State controlled the second half against the Bearcats. Becht has 22 total touchdowns compared to seven interceptions and is a big reason why the Cyclones are still alive in the Big 12 title talks with an 8-2 record. There's little doubt that he'll have an opportunity at big games against Utah and Kansas State to end the year.

Impact Becht's 383 passing yards and three touchdown passes were both season-highs. He was forced into this production as the Cyclones fought from behind on the scoreboard for most of the game. The redshirt sophomore has completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 2,394 yards and 16 touchdowns compared to seven interceptions through nine games. Iowa State will host Cincinnati next week.

Impact Becht threw multiple touchdown passes for the fifth time this year, however, it wasn't quite enough as the Cyclones fell to the Red Raiders for their first loss this season. It's worth noting that Becht has four interceptions over his last four games and is completing just 50.6 percent of his passes over his last two games. He'll look to get back on track at Kansas next week.

Despite not having a great day through the air, he was masterful in the ground game with a career-high 97 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. In the passing game, the redshirt sophomore does have at least one touchdown in every game this season. The Cyclones are on a bye next week before they come back to defend their undefeated record versus Texas Tech.

Impact Becht wasn't asked to do a ton as Iowa State improved to 6-0 for the first time since 1938. The Cyclones leaned on their dominant run game once again as they rushed the ball 43 times against the Mountaineers. Becht has attempted more than 30 passes in a game just once this year. With the Cyclones playing well, it doesn't make sense for them to change it up, so look for Becht to have a similar performance against Central Florida next week.

Becht was able to throw a pair of touchdowns, something he's done in four of five games this year. There's going to be a game where he's going to need to open up the passing game which could be as soon as next week versus a good West Virginia squad.
