Tyler Huff - Game-time decision Friday Huff (ankle) is a game-time decision for the Conference USA Championship Game against Western Kentucky on Friday, Thomas Ashworth of AL.com reports.

Impact Because of his ankle injury, Huff will be limited in Jacksonville State's practices going into the Conference USA Championship Game. However, Huff has logged a combined 1,661 all-purpose yards and 14 total touchdowns across his last seven games. That sheer productivity is difficult to replace, so the Gamecocks find it crucial that they have their No. 1 quarterback available Friday.

Impact Due to the injury to JSU's star quarterback, Smothers threw his first pass since Week 1 (he ran the ball a few times in the interim). If Huff's injury is serious enough, Smothers will find himself starting the Conference USA title game.

He will look to cut at least some carries from Tre Stewart, who blossomed while the former recovered from a toe injury and subsequent surgery.

Impact Stewart has been so good this season you see numbers like this and you almost feel like, "Is that all?" This is his sixth game in a row with over 100 yards and a touchdown, and only once in that time has he failed to score multiple times.

Tyler Huff - TDs two ways Huff went 15-for-28 for 211 yards and a touchdown and had 18 carries for 76 yards and a score versus FIU on Saturday.

Impact Huff's passing numbers on the year are reasonable, with 11 touchdowns against five picks, but he's the starting QB because of his running skills. To that end, he now has 902 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground, while remarkably only losing one fumble.

Impact That makes three games in a row with a touchdown for Paul. However, due to the presence of Tre Stewart and run-first quarterback Tyler Huff, getting more than a handful of carries in each game will be tough for Paul.

Tre Stewart - Keeps on crushing it Stewart ran 34 times for 166 yards and two touchdowns and added one catch for 15 yards versus La Tech on Saturday. He did lose a fumble, though.

Impact This is the third game in a row with a lost fumble for Stewart, but clearly Rich Rodriguez and company are happy to keep giving him the ball. He has 168 carries for 1,080 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns through nine games. Stewart is one of the best backs in the Group of Five.
