GAME LOG

Remains out for Huskies Kepnang (knee) won't be available for Washington against Santa Clara on Friday.
Impact Kepnang will now miss his fifth straight game. The starting center's absence should pave the way for Tyler Harris and Great Osobor to get plenty of minutes in the Huskies' front court.

Out Thursday Kepnang (knee) is out for Thursday's game against Colorado State, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Kepnang has missed each of the team's last three games with a knee injury and will now be held out for a fourth consecutive contest. The senior center played in just two games this season before suffering a knee injury against Nevada. Kepnang will hope to make his return to action in the Huskies' second game in the Acrisure Invitational against either TCU or Santa Clara on Friday.
5 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Out once again Kepnang (knee) won't play against Alcorn State on Friday.
Impact Kepnang will now miss his third-straight game. The center started each of the Huskies' first two contests in 2024-2025, but his knee ailment has sidelined him for the past couple of weeks. He'll look to return next on Thanksgiving against Colorado State.
NOVEMBER 22 • ROTOWIRE
Unavailable for UML game Kepnang (undisclosed) is out for Washington's game Sunday against Massachusetts-Lowell.
Impact Sunday will include Kepnang's second DNP of his 2024-25 season. He logged the first Wednesday, when his game unavailability resulted in Wilhelm Breidenbach being Washington's starting center against Seattle Pacific.
NOVEMBER 17 • ROTOWIRE
Out vs. Massachusetts-Lowell Kepnang (undisclosed) is out for Wednesday's game against Pacific State.
Impact The loss of Kepnang is a massive one in the Washington frontcourt, particularly on the defensive end. He has recorded three blocks in each of his two outings this season while adding 12 total points and 10 total rebounds. His next chance to play will come against Massachusetts-Lowell on Sunday.

Scores 12 in 13 Kepnang (knee) logged 12 points (6-7 FG), three blocks and two rebounds across 13 minutes during Washington's exhibition game Monday against Western Oregon.
Impact Even though Kepnang did not play much during Washington's exhibition game, his 13 minutes in it were somehow enough for him to easily log double-digit points. Ideally for him, his 2024-25 season is finally the campaign in which he plays a full year for UW. Kepnang's last two seasons with Washington saw him play for a combined total of only 15 games. As a brief starter of UW's 2023-24 team, he had some volume, averaging 10.3 points to go with 7.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.
OCTOBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Begins non-contact work Kepnang (knee) has begun non-contact work, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Pretty much seven months have passed since it was announced that Kepnang would sit out the remainder of his 2023-24 season. The senior beginning non-contact work is welcome news but definitely does not assure his availability for Washington's next game. Ideally for him, he makes significant progress in his recovery before Oct. 29, during which the Huskies are scheduled for an exhibition matchup against Western Oregon.

Not close to return Kepnang (knee) is not nearing a return, according to the Seattle Times.
Impact Kepnang underwent a surgery before this season to repair his right knee, but tweaked it again in December after playing 10 games and hasn't played since. The senior center will likely not return for a while, though Washington could definitely use him considering they started 7-3 with him playing and have gone 5-7 since with him on the bench.
FEBRUARY 9 • ROTOWIRE
Out Sunday Kepnang (knee) is out for Sunday's game against UCLA, Percy Allen of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Kepnang will miss yet another game for the Huskies with a nagging knee injury, marking his seventh consecutive missed game. The former Oregon transfer has averaged 8.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game through 10 games for Washington this season. Kepnang will next have a chance to return when the Huskies travel to face Cal on Thursday.
JANUARY 14 • ROTOWIRE
Out again Thursday Kepnang (knee) is out again Thursday versus Arizona State, Percy Allen of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Kepnang will miss his sixth consecutive game Thursday as he continues to deal with a knee injury. It is currently unclear how close he is to returning to the lineup. His next chance to play is Sunday at UCLA.
JANUARY 11 • ROTOWIRE
Remains out Saturday Kepnang (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Oregon State, Percy Allen of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact The big man continues his recovery process and participated in a portion of pregame drills, but will miss his fifth straight game Saturday. His next chance to play will come against Arizona State on Thursday.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
DNP at Utah Kepnang (knee) did not play during Washington's game Sunday at Utah.
Impact Kepnang has sat out thrice because of his knee injury. Once again, Washington's team used Braxton Meah as its starting center. The 2023-24 Huskies are expected to begin their 2024 schedule Thursday against Oregon.
JANUARY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Sits due to injury Kepnang did not appear in Thursday's 73-66 victory over Eastern Washington due to a knee injury, college basketball writer Percy Allen reports.
Impact According to Lars Hanson of Sports Illustrated, Kepnang took a hard fall last week against Seattle and did not return to the game after, which explains why he only saw 20 minutes in the contest. In his absence Thursday, Braxton Meah picked up the start and Wilhelm Breidenbach saw extra run. The Huskies now have a week off before beginning Pac-12 play at Colorado on Dec. 29, at which point Kepnang will presumably look to reclaim his starting role.

Kepnang powers Washington to 85-61 victory over Montana State

Franck Kepnang finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Washington to an 85-61 victory over Montana State
DECEMBER 6, 2023 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Logs 12 rebounds across 29 minutes Kepnang logged eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, two blocks and two steals across his 29 minutes during Washington's 74-71 win Saturday against Xavier.
Impact Kepnang's latest log indicates how well he can rebound the ball when able to play more than half a game. Before a knee injury prematurely ended his 2022-23 season, the big man averaged just a little over 20 minutes and 6.3 boards across his eight games during it.
NOVEMBER 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Makes return Sunday Kepnang (knee) returned to action in an exhibition Sunday against Saint Martin's. He finished with four points (2-3 FG), three rebounds and a block in the 103-58 win.
Impact Kepnang averaged 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game across eight games last season prior to injury, and he should be a bench option in this upcoming campaign.

Will miss rest of season Kepnang has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury, Chris Fetters of Dawgman.com reports.
Impact Kepnang suffered the injury Thursday at Washington's 66-65 loss at Oregon State, as the big man from Cameroon fell to the floor with 11 minutes left in the game and was eventually helped off the floor. He ended the season averaging 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
DECEMBER 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logs double-double off the bench Kepnang notched 16 points (8-13 FG, 0-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes during Friday's 75-67 victory over North Florida.
Impact Kepnang recorded his first collegiate double-double off the bench during Friday's win over North Florida. The 6-foot-11 junior appeared in all 35 games last season with Oregon, contributing 4.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks on 14.7 minutes per game. Kepnang has taken on a larger role with the Huskies as expected, and he will look to work his way into the starting lineup at Washington this season.
