Hall averaged 9.0 points, 5.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds and one steal during it. The biggest difference is his scoring, perhaps improved by how well he shot from deep. Hall averaged 1.5 three-pointers made as a sophomore.

Impact Saunders scored 17 of his season-high 26 points in the second half as BYU pulled away from Idaho. The junior forward drained four threes and shot 10-15 (66.7%) from the floor while contributing all over the court, including adding three blocks and four thefts on the defensive end. Saunders played 20.6 minutes per game last season while coming off the bench for all but one of 34 games played, averaging 9.6 points and 4.1 rebounds. This year, he's entered the starting lineup and through four games has leaped to 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks across 27.5 minutes per contest.

Impact Traore needed just 23 minutes off the bench to post a career-high 29 points on a nearly perfect night from the field. The senior center scored 20 of his 29 in the second half, including a stretch in the second half where he posted 16 points, four rebounds and a block in less than 5:30 of game time that helped the Cougars pull away. Traore was initially expected to start but has filled the same bench role that he assumed last season for 18 of the 26 games he played. Whether starting or coming off the bench, BYU plays a deep rotation that limited Traore to 18.3 minutes per game last season and has kept him at 19.5 minutes thus far this season. However, as evidenced Saturday, he does not need to play many minutes to fill up the box score.

Impact Baker paced the Cougar effort by draining six of seven from behind the arc to finish with a team-high 22 points. The junior reserve has seen at least 17 minutes in each of the team's three games after playing just four games last season due to an injured foot. He had scored just nine points total through the previous two games prior to Wednesday's breakout performance.
